Everyone, and I mean everyone, can start taking better photos instantly, just by expanding your perception and having a few techniques in your “toolbox” to choose from.
The exercises in this book are just the “lean muscle”—no unnecessary fat or filler. Just practical information to produce the best results in a ridiculously short amount of time. Within minutes, you’ll learn to focus (pun intended) on quality, not quantity. This is not a guide on how to use your camera. It is more of a workbook to improve your versatility when using a point and shoot, mobile device camera, or DSLR.

Happy shooting!

Photo WOW! From Awful to Awesome in 7 Easy Steps eBook Peter Soros

I had been looking for some help in taking nice photos (mine have always been boring) so I tried this little book. I wasn’t expecting much because most inexpensive how-to ebooks never deliver what their titles promise. This one was different: no boring “about-me” padding and no unnecessary or repetitive info. The 7 simple exercises are meant to change how to look at your photo subjects, and each is illustrated with beautiful examples, and even a few diagrams. It is all written in an encouraging and humorous tone.

While it is a nice book to read, however, I wouldn’t have bothered writing this review if I hadn’t actually tried the exercises. (My favorite is #6) My new pictures look less traditional and more artistic, and i’ve been taking pictures of just about everything. It’s almost addictive! So to any amateur photographer who wants more creative looking images and wants to have fun taking them, I highly recommend this book.

Photo WOW! From Awful to Awesome in 7 Easy Steps eBook Peter Soros Reviews

Photo Wow! From Awful to Awesome in 7 Easy Steps is a great book for anyone who loves to take pictures! It's an easy read with helpful tips and fun exercises to try out. After reading this book, I went back to look at some recent pictures I took and thought of the different techniques I could have used and will use in the future.
I definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes to take pictures.
Thoroughly enjoyed this no frills, no nonsense guide to getting more creative, and more technical, with my photography.
I was hoping for one or two things to get my wheels turning, but boy was I surprised! I've been into photography for years, but found myself always quickly getting bored when trying to learn new techniques from other resources. Peter Soros has the ability to put some of the most difficult to understand concepts into layman's terms, and gives you exercises to explore these new avenues. Wish I'd had this book years ago!
Quick read that captured some essentials in learning to take great photos. I can't wait to try some of the exercises. I have always struggled in taking portraits and he has shared the best tip ever in exercise #7 on how to capture great smiles that are not forced. I have taken several photography classes, but I was never told about some of these tips.
I've had a DSLR for years now, and in the thousands of pictures I have taken, I have never managed to get more than a handful of really great shots. I busted that puppy out after this quick, insightful read, and have already managed to get some print-worthy shots of my little guy. The steps are easy to follow and simple to implement. I highly recommend this guide to becoming your own photographer.
Photo Wow! From awful to awesome in 7 easy steps by Peter Soros gave me some great insights to taking pictures. I have always wanted to take better photos and have contemplated taking some classes. In his 7 easy steps, Peter, has given me the guidance I need to develop my photographer’s eye.
I like that the exercises are simple and easy to understand with examples.
I highly recommend this book.
I have taken a few photography courses back when film 35mm was the norm, but with a new baby I was eager to brush up on my skills. I was able to dust off some of that knowledge, but I really like the "Shoot From The Hip" advice! I have never tried that when film was so valuable, but with digital photography, I could see how this could be a lot of fun to experiment with!
