Good and realistic storyline. I didn't like Mariah, she had a screwed up attitude and mindset. Poor Elliott didn't stand a chance though she never gave him one. She flipped out about the Texas trip for no reason, that was completely unnecessary. If she wasnt really interested she should have been real with herself and let him go. I liked Travis until the end when he flipped out and completely embarrassed Shalonda at that Christmas party, him and Mariah backwards immature tales smh. I got the point but I couldn't deal with those two, he should have just broke it off with Shalonda correctly and Mariah goofy tale should have allowed him to do it instead of wanting everything to happen her way. She was bogus anyway and yeah she owned it but she better pray karma don't come along, I hope Shalonda comes up with a baby she didn't tell Travis about and becomes the baby mama from hell, oh and she and Elliot start dating or something lol. Travis and Mariah would deserve it not because they finally acted on their feelings for each other but how they went about it and how disrespectful and callous they were to the other people in their life. This book was extremely well written, I enjoyed the storyline because everyone has been or knows someone whose been in a similar situation. I finished reading this book within a few hours and that's only because work got in the way. I highly recommend this book.
I really enjoyed this book! It was well written just like her other books I have read. "Travis and Mariah" had a past that continued into the present, and they hurt a few people to get to the future. We live and learn, unfortunately this book was more realistic than many want to admit.
